I GOT A JOB!!!!
I thought it'd be impossible in this town (Clarksville has a notorious reputation for not being the best military post for working spouses) but thanks to my husband's insane persistence and asking EVERYWHERE we went if they were hiring, I was offered a part time position at Navy Federal Credit Union in Oak Grove (only a 5 minute drive from our house).
I start Monday which is also Matt's last day of leave. Pretty much perfect timing. I thankfully have already found childcare for the Shaner and he will be staying very close to home. Our next door neighbor happens to babysit and she only has one other little girl 2 days a week.
The hubby took me clothes shopping for the new job since my work wardrobe was black and white because of Coach and none of my pants fit anymore (in a good way!). The Gap Outlet and Banana Republic outlet got a nice chunk of our change yesterday but I made out very well and have tons of outfit options!
So that's my exciting news for now. I am going to attempt to keep up with Shane updates but I have a feeling that its going to get a bit more difficult as my days get busier! Updates from my parent's visit to Nashville soon!

Waffle throwing and shoes
This morning Shane decided his breakfast was more fun to throw and retrieve than to eat. For a solid 5 minutes. I must say while I don't want to encourage behaviors like this, it was quite entertaining to watch him fully engaged in the tossing and picking of of Eggos waffles and the giggling that accompanied the ritual.
As most of you know, Shane has quite a love for shoes. He doesn't discriminate. He loves his shoes, my shoes, Matt's shoes, your shoes. He just happens to like shoes. For about a week now, every morning, when I open his door, he'll have a pair of shoes in hand and say "Shoes mama" and sit down for me to put them on. I am not sure if he has correlated going outside with his shoes, but he will not take his shoes off for the rest of the morning or until its time for nap. Matt is completely horrified by his obsession with my heels, especially my patent leather faux croc pumps. I say, let him be. And the stories I'll tell about him when he's older in front of all his friends will be so worth the embarrassment we're feeling now. For now, I'll just try to keep my closet door shut.
